March 30, 2013-The Emporia State women's tennis team rolled to an 8-1 win over Truman on Saturday afternoon at the Milton Tennis Courts.  With the win the Hornets improve to 10-4 overall and 3-3 in the MIAA.

Nicole Jara and Taylor Smith got the Hornets started with an 8-0 win at #1 doubles as Emporia State swept the double competion.

Jara continued to set the tone in singles with a quick 6-1, 6-1 win at #1 as the Hornets won five of six single matches.

Emporia State is back in action on Tuesday when they host Washburn in the Turnpike Tussle Tennis Edition.  First serve at the EHS Courts is set for 2 p.m.
