February 9, 2017-Emporia State Lady Hornet guard Addie Lackey has earned CoSIDA Academic All-District honors for her work in the classroom and on the basketball court.  She is now eligible to earn Academic All-America honors.
 
Lackey has a 3.96 GPA in accounting and is averaging 12.7 points and 2.6 assists per game for the #11 Lady Hornets. She is ranked 14th in the MIAA in scoring, 17th in made three-pointers and 19th in assists. She has scored in double figures in 19 of the first 23 games this season with a career high of 24 points at Southwest Baptist.
 
She was the MIAA Freshman of the Year and was an Honorable Mention All-MIAA seslection in 2015. She has been an MIAA Scholar-Athlete, on the MIAA Academic Honor Roll, the Emporia State Athletic Director's Honor Roll, and the ESU School of Business Dean's List.
 
To be eligible for Academic All-America® consideration, a student-athlete must be a varsity starter or key reserve, maintain a cumulative G.P.A. of 3.30 on a scale of 4.00, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standings at his/her current institution and be nominated by his/her sports information director. The Division II Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the D-II Academic All-America® teams program.
