Cole Taylor began his role as the Director of Athletic Marketing/Media Relations in January 2024 after time spent as a student assistant and graduate assistant within the sports information department at Emporia State. 

Cole began his time in the SID office as a student in the fall of 2019 and primarily handled live stats at Emporia State athletic events. After receiving his undergraduate degree in December 2021, he transitioned into his role as the sports information graduate assistant. Since his time as a graduate assistant begin in the spring of 2022, Cole has been the media contact for multiple teams, including Hornet soccer and volleyball in the fall and Hornet baseball in the spring, roles he continues to hold into his full-time position now. 

During his time as a media contact for Hornet soccer, Cole has covered two NCAA Central Region Championship matches in both 2022 and 2023 and a 2023 MIAA Tournament Championship.

Cole is a native of Andover, Kan. and earned a bachelor's degree in communication and a master's degree in business from Emporia State University.
